Bahrain’s security forces hindered a march marking the International Quds Day in Bahrain’s Sitra island on Friday.
The Bahrainis had, in a number of cities, staged popular rallies in which they expressed their solidarity with the Palestinian people and their refusal to normalize ties with Israel.
The participants in the march raised the Bahraini and Palestinian flags in addition to banners inspired by the occasion. They also chanted slogans in support of the resistance in Palestine and the defense of Al-Aqsa Mosque and the holy sites.
The International Quds Day is an annual event held on the last Friday of the Holy month of Ramadan that was initiated by the late founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran Imam Khomeini in 1979 to express support for the Palestinians and oppose Zionism and Israeli occupation.
