Iraq’s President Barham Salih and the Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Iraq, Jeanine Hennis-Plasschaert, stressed the importance of resolving electoral appeals according to judicial contexts.
Salih received on Thursday Plasschaert in his official office in Baghdad. The two sides also discussed the election file, and considered the electoral appeals and complaints guaranteed by the legal and electoral regulations.
They also stressed the need to maintain stability and support Iraq’s efforts in enhancing its security and stability and strengthening its economic conditions and development efforts.
