According to local officials and eyewitnesses up to eight drones and other unidentified objects crashed in the residential areas of the northern Iranian city, of Gorgan the center of Golestan province.
Some explosion was heard in Garakan, Iran, due to the crashing of reportedly 8 drones and other flying objects in the city.
Two people were injured, according to the eyewitness, and law enforcement said they were investigating the incident.
The Police Chief of Golestan Province said that the crash of unidentified objects had been reported in several spots in Gorgan.
He said the situation was under control, and some debris from the object landed outside the city.
Iranian news media have shared several photos and videos of a burnt object lying in the street, with nearby shops’ windows smashed and cars sustaining damage.
Police have cordoned off the area.
