Iranian and Omani navies held a joint rescue exercise this morning in the territorial waters of Iran in the Strait of Hormuz and the Sea of Oman.
Based on the agreements made in the joint military friendship commissions of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Kingdom of Oman, the ninth joint rescue exercise between the Iranian and Omani navies was held on Thursday morning in the territorial waters of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Strait of Hormuz and Oman Sea.
This exercise was held with the participation of several floating units of the Navy of the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Navy of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps, the Ports and Maritime Organization, and the Navy of the Kingdom of Oman.

Helicopters from both sides and drones of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in the presence of the heads of the Joint Military Friendship Committee of the two countries and its members, were responsible for supporting the process of this exercise.
The purpose of holding this exercise is to develop interactions, implement various training programs at sea, exchange experiences, and improve the efficiency of the two countries’ navies.
