Aoun Reassures Lebanese People: Clock won’t be turned back, Lebanon won’t surrender to strife

Lebanese President Michel Aoun reassured, in a televised address on Thursday, the Lebanese that the clock would not be turned back and that Lebanon won’t surrender to strife.

Tackling the latest security developments in Tayouneh area, Aoun slammed the incident, stressing that the competent authorities will held the culprits accountable.

The president noted that the street is not the proper place to express political objections, highlighting the role of the constitutional institutions in finding solutions.

Militants affiliated with Lebanese Forces Party on Thursday ambushed civilians heading to the Justice Palace to protest against politicization of investigation into Beirut Port blast. Six Lebanese people were killed and dozens injured as snipers opened fire at civilians.
