Palestinians in Bethlehem went to streets in solidarity with Palestinian prisoners subject to brutal mistreatment in Israeli jails.Clashes broke out between protesters and Israeli occupation forces.
Confrontations mainly took place on the vicinity of Rachel’s Dome, to the north of the city, during which Israeli soldiers heavily fired rubber bullets and tear gas canisters.
The town of Al-Khader, to the south, witnessed similar confrontations this evening, centered in the Umm Rakba neighborhood, which witnessed a heavy presence of the occupation forces. It was reported that soldiers raided a number of houses in search of young men who participated in these confrontations.Activists in the city said that Israeli soldiers arrested two young men passing near by during these clashes and took them to an unknown destination.

The West Bank and East Jerusalem witnessed protests in solidarity with Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails. Protestors took to the streets in several West Bank districts condemning the repressive and punitive measures.In Nablus district, Israeli forces cracked down on a protest at Jabal Sbeih, a scene of weekly Friday protests against Israeli settler-colonialism and land pillage, near Beita town, south of the city.
In Hebron district, Israeli forces violently dispersed a rally in solidarity with prisoners in Beit Ummar town, north of the city, firing tear gas bombs towards the participants.In Jerusalem, worshipers held a stand in Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in solidarity with Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails.
