Iraq’s President Barham Salih received the Serbian ambassador to Iraq, Uroš Balov at al-Salam Palace in Baghdad and discussed Iraqi-Serbian ties.
The two sides also discussed ways to develop bilateral relations in a way that better serves the two nations’ interests and meets both peoples’ aspirations.
Participants in the meeting spoke about the importance of further developing trade and economic ties between the two countries with focus on supporting investments.
Salih said Iraq’s foreign policy basis on building a balanced relation that would enhance regional and international cooperation to address common challenges presented by terrorism and corruption.
He highlighted the need to work together to tackle climate change, and work toward maintaining peace and security in the region and calming tensions to bring peace here.
