Saied Meets Justice Minister: To avoid any violation of litigants’ rights

Tunisian President Kais Saied met Justice Minister Leila Jaffel on Monday at Carthage Palace where he stressed on deduction from pay for striking judges and taking needed measures to avoid any violation of litigants’ rights.

He underlined the importance of the continuous operation of the public services, according to a Presidency statement.

The National Council of the Association of Tunisian Judges had called a one-week strike starting Monday, June 6, to protest President Kais Saied’s decision to dismiss 57 judges.
