Tunisian President Kais Saied stressed during his meeting with Prime Minister Najla Bouden Tuesday the need to rely on national capabilities before seeking foreign resources.
Saied renewed the call for austerity, stressing the need for citizens to feel concerned by state policies, according to a statement from the Presidency.
The meeting also focused on tax justice in the complementary finance law of 2021 and the draft finance law for the year 2022, besides the need to continue efforts to fight monopoly and speculation.
Regarding the environmental situation in the governorate of Sfax, the Head of State called to identify a temporary solution before thinking of a final solution to the issue of waste throughout the territory.
During the meeting, Saied and Bouden reviewed the items on the agenda of the next Cabinet meeting, added the statement.
